City Council Approves Senior Fund Grant

On April 11th the Plymouth Common Council approved a grant to the Adult Community Center at Generations for $7,513.86.

Generations provides senior programming under an agreement with the City of Plymouth.  The funds will be used to enhance the exercise program for seniors as well as a concert series this summer.

Funding for the grant is from money designated for senior benefits left over when the city closed its senior center and moved operations to the Generations facility.

The City of Plymouth Committee on Aging oversees the grant process, confirming the request meets the requirement of benefiting Plymouth seniors.  The committee then makes a recommendation to the Council who makes the decision to approve or disapprove the grant.

The grant maximum is $10,000 and must be used to benefit Plymouth seniors.  For information regarding the Senior Fund Grant please contact the Plymouth City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at 920-893-1271.
