Director of Public Works/City Engineer

The City of Plymouth is pleased to announce that Catherine Austin, P.E. will serve as the next Director of Public Works/City Engineer for the City of Plymouth.  The current Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Bill Immich, is slated to retire from the City of Plymouth after approximately 27 years of service on June 2, 2017.  Austin will begin her duties in late May.

Austin currently serves as the Deputy Director of Public Works/City Engineer for the City of Kenosha.  Prior positions with Kenosha include serving as the Deputy Director of Engineering and Civil Engineer I-III.  She has experience in both civil engineering and public works operations.  Austin holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is also a graduate of Plymouth Comprehensive High School.  She is registered with the State of Wisconsin as a Professional Engineer. Austin will perform complex supervisory, administrative and professional work in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the Public Works Department and Water/Sewer Divisions of Plymouth Utilities.
