Wastewater Treatment Plant

Located on the southwest side of Plymouth, the municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant is the destination for all sanitary sewer lines in the city.  Everything that people wash down drains or flush down toilets ends up at the plant.  Homeowners, renters, businesses and industries all contribute to our city’s wastewater.  That is why the treatment plant is so important to our community.  The purpose of the plant is to remove pathogens, or disease-causing organisms, from the wastewater and to remove solids that can contaminate the Mullet River where the treated water is discharged.
